Adrianne Yvonne Cherry

A Homegoing Service, Celebrating the life of Adrianne Yvonne Cherry, 84, of Newark, will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Michael A. Noble officiating. Adrianne will be buried with her husband at Cedar Hill Cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, two hour prior to the funeral service on Monday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Adrianne was born in Newark, Ohio on March 6, 1940 to the late Howard Moore Sr. and Bonita (Anderson) Moore-Ward. She passed away on October 7, 2024 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Adrianne was a devoted homemaker to her family and was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching soap operas and cooking, but most important was the time she spent with her loving family and friends. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. Survivors include her children, Erin Cherry, Cornelius (Teresa) Cherry, Jr., and Andrea Cherry; grandchildren, Cornell (Nicole), Elijah, Alexis, Josh, Daja, Adrian, Malania, Nathanial, and Bethany; great grandchildren, Miyanni, Alyah, Keontae, Benjamin, Cori, DeMarcus, Trent, Tavion, Zaylee, Empire, Zariyah, Cornell, Camdem, Jada, Jenneah, Kiera and Gracelyn; brothers, Victor (Wilma) Moore, Roderick Moore, Rodney Moore, Phillip Ward and Howard Moore, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Donna (Willie) Shaw, Hope Ellis, Frances (David) Maxberry, Rebecca Black, Rose Black, Margaret Moore and Margie Moore; brother-in-law, Bernie Bolling; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius Cherry, Sr.; daughter, Casandra; son, Cornell; grandson, James Adams; sisters, Casandra and Carol; and brothers, Michael and Douglas; Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Adrianne and her family.
