Alan "Sonny" Click Dupler

June 12, 1931 — July 25, 2021

Alan Click “Sonny” Dupler, 90, of Millersport, passed away suddenly on July 25, 2021 at his home. He was born June 12, 1931, the son of the late Raymond L. and Frances Click Dupler. He was a graduate of Walnut Township schools, class of 1950; served honorably in the US Navy aboard the USS Wasp CV-18 during the Korean conflict. He owned and operated the Millersport Hardware for many years.

Sonny was a member of the Millersport Post of the American Legion, and served for 12 years as a Walnut Township Trustee.

He enjoyed raising and boarding horses, racing his own harness horses; and at the age of 86, became a fully licensed pilot.

He is survived by his loving family: his sons Chad (Samantha) Dupler, Arney Dupler, Jerry (Joan) Dupler; step-son Steve (Cindy) Sabo; along with his grandchildren Erika (Gregg Painter), Chelsi (Mike Smith), Lydia and Adam Dupler, Nick Sabo and Michelle (Corey) Woomer; great-grandchildren Ben, Luke, Gage, Hayley, Michael, Lincoln and Lily; the mother of his children Carolyn Dupler; and his beloved canine companion Stella.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife Peg in 2014.

Honoring Sonny’s wishes private family services will be held at a later date.

The family prefers that memorial contributions in his memory be directed to the Millersport Post of the American Legion.
