Albert E. Bonham

A memorial service celebrating the life of Albert E. Bonham, age 59, of Newark, will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Fullen officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, one hour prior to the memorial service on Saturday, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Albert was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 6, 1958 to the late Clarence Bonham and Barbara Lee (Brown) Jones. He passed away at the Selma Markowitz Care Center on October 1, 2017. Albert graduated from Newark High School/LCJVS, class of 1977. Prior to retirement, he worked for AT & T for many years. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music and was active in scouting. Most important in his life was spending time with his family, especially doting on his grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Julia (Weed) Bonham, whom he married February 11, 1977; children, Michael (Catherine) Bonham, Amanda Bonham and Laura (Brian) Giles; grandchildren, Aaliyah, Hope, Hunter, Jacob, Tyler and Elijah; sisters, Deborah Grant and Christina Doyle; brothers, James (Mary) Bonham and Robert Bonham; and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Gwen.
