Alvin "Al" L. Goddard

A funeral service celebrating the life of Alvin L. “Al” Goddard, 88, of Millersport, will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kirkersville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 285 E. Main Street, Kirkersville, two hours prior to the funeral service on Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Al was born in Buffalo, WV on May 21, 1933 to the late Lawrence and Leona Mae (Martin) Goddard. He passed away at his residence on November 12, 2021. Al proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Prior to retirement, he was an electrician with AT&T for 25 years. He enjoyed golfing, playing the banjo, listening to bluegrass music and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Linda L. (Beekman) Goddard, whom he married September 11, 1993; children, Anita (Ray) Graham, Scott (Suzy) Goddard, Alisa (Jeffrey) Fisher, Damian (Donna Martinez) Hopkins, Jennifer (Mike Yokich) Ernest and Amy (Dan) Haegele; sister, Freeda Mae Young; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Tyler, Kenzie, Sydney, T.J., Emma and Ryan; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Dennis Goddard and Paul Goddard. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Al to FairHope Hospice or the National Kidney Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
