Amber Michelle Wood Wright

It is with great sadness and grief that we share the sudden and unexpected loss of our daughter, sister and mother, Amber Michelle (Wood) Wright, age 35, of Newark. Amber passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born April 28, 1985 in Newark, Ohio.

Amber was very much a loving and caring person. She was always willing to help family or friends at a moment’s notice. She was fun, funny and full of sass. She was a beautiful woman with a heart of gold. Amber has had her struggles over the years; however, she had found her path in life. She loved her children very much and those children are what had given her new hope and set her on that new path.

Amber leaves behind her two children, Nathan (age 14) and Allyson (age 4); her father and step-mother, James and Jennifer Wood; her mother, Debra Sue (Sherrard) Moyer; brothers, Brian (Teri) Moyer, Shawn Moyer and Hank Crawmer; sister, Paige Wood; and several nieces and nephews; as well as several aunts, uncles and many cousins.

The family made the decision to honor Amber’s life by consenting for Amber to be an organ donor. Amber gave the gift of life to others and has the potential to save eight lives. Since this is the season of giving, we pray that our loss will give someone else life and hope.

Contributions in Amber’s memory may be made to her father, James Woods, for the benefit of Amber’s children, Nathan and Allyson.

The family will observe a private celebration of Amber’s life.
