David James Coakley

David James Coakley, 66, of Buckeye Lake, passed away suddenly on July 6, 2022. He was born in Columbus on November 25, 1955, the son of the late William Rhoades Coakley and Shirley (Johnson) Coakley of Nelsonville. David was a 1973 graduate of Lakewood H.S. and had worked as a general contractor and electrician. He loved building things, restoring old things, fishing, working on classic cars and listening to classic rock of the ’60’s and 70’s. He is survived by his loving family, which in addition to his mother includes his sister Carol (Steve) Williams, brothers Marc (Kim) and Michael Coakley; his daughters Tara and Caitlyn Coakley; nieces Jessi, Morgan, and Cheyan; his nephews Michael B and Michael L, Bradley, Kevin, and Justin. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents Homer and Zella Johnson and William R and Anna Louise (Garlinger) Coakley Sr, and his brother Richard and his nephew Chaz. Honoring David’s wishes, he will be cremated without any services. HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, Hebron, is honored to care for David and his family.
