Andrew Nicholas "Andy" Queen

A funeral service for Andrew Nicholas Andy Queen, age 38, of Newark, will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.Andy was born September 23, 1976 in Newark, Ohio to the late Colin Queen and Mary (Duffy) Rodgers of Newark. He passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Licking Memorial Hospital.Andy had been employed with AdvantaClean and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. He enjoyed guns and shooting, landscaping, craftsmanship and working with his hands and spending time with his family. He was an avid Star Wars fan. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father who was very hardworking and was a friend to everyone he met.In addition to his mother, Mary, he is survived by his wife of 21 years, Kristy R. (Bethards) Queen, whom he married July 2, 1994; sons, E4 Dylan Queen-United States Army and Austin Queen of Newark; two step-children, Danielle Bennett and Joshua Bennett, both of Newark; grandfather, Albert Duffy of Newark; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nita and Phillip Kasson of Newark; and sister-in-law, Tracey (Matt) Jivanjee of Columbus.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Delores Duffy; brother-in-law, Jason Kasson; and special pet, Drake.Memorial contributions may be made to the family.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Andy and the Queen family.
