Annabelle Marie Lamme

A funeral service celebrating the life of Annabelle Marie Lamme, age 89, of Glenford, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 127 Mill Street in Glenford with Pastor Paul Hansen officiating. Burial will take place in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

Annabelle was born October 7, 1928 in Somerset, Ohio to the late Fred E. and Opal Pearl (Poling) Leckrone. She passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at her home.
A 1946 graduate of Glenford High School, Annabelle continued on to receive a degree in Accounting from Bliss College in Columbus. She and her husband operated Clark and Lamme TV Radio Shack for over 40 years and at their retirement operated the oldest business in Thornville. Annabelle grew up in the Olivet Church of the Brethren and was a former member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church where she was involved in the United Methodist Womens group. She attended Bible Study at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Glenford and was a member of the Glenford Fire Department Sparks. Annabelle was very patriotic and loved the flag. She enjoyed singing, collecting recipes and kept an immaculate home. An excellent cook and baker, she was especially known for her excellent meatloaf and banana nut bread.

She is survived by two children, David E. Lamme of Somerset (Linda Ballog of Pickerington) and Majel L. Lentz of Glenford (David Walser of Somerset); grandchildren, Daniel Thomas Lentz of Bloomington, IN, Janelle Marie Lentz of Massillon and Emmie J. Lamme of Blue Rock; great-grandchildren, Jaidyn Browning and Leo Shook; and a niece, Debra Souders of Somerset.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John David Lamme on February 4, 2014; son, Bruce E. Lamme on August 13, 1959; sister, Wilda Gertrude (Ralph) Ramsey; and brother, Webster E. (Imogene) Leckrone.

Memorial contributions may be made to breast cancer research at Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Ste. 250, Dallas, TX 75244.
