A funeral service celebrating the life of Annalene Ewing, 84, of St Louisville, will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will follow at Smith Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Annalene was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on August 12, 1934 to the late Henry C. and Clearinda (Phipps) Jenkins. She passed away on August 28, 2018 at Arlington Care Center. She was a dedicated homemaker to her family. She was a member of the United Baptist Church of Big Run, Ohio. She enjoyed gardening, canning, yard sales, and was a sports fan, especially the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family, hosting family reunions, hog roasts and cook-outs. Survivors include her daughter, Valerie Ann (Steve) Wireman; grandchildren, Scott, Chloe, Jason, Jacob and Angel; daughter-in-law, Debbie Ewing; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Ewing; two sons, Ronald and Timothy Ewing; and seven brothers and sisters.
