Arthur C. Davis

Arthur C. Davis, age 92, of Thornville, passed away at his residence on December 23, 2016, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Newark on November 3, 1924 to the late Clarence H. and Delice R. (Romine) Davis.Arthur proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Arthur worked in the trucking industry for many years, retiring from Suburban Motor Freight. Arthur was an amazing father, grandfather, friend and neighbor. It didnt matter the good or the bad, he always made sure his kids and grandkids were taken care of. He will forever be in not only his familys hearts, but also in those hearts he touched helping others.Survivors include son, Terrance (Joan A.) Davis, Jeff Davis and Scott Davis; daughters, Lesa J. (Matt) Smith-Hinson, L. Diana Davis; daughter-in-law, Carla Davis; sister, Jeanetta Kimball; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marian Maxine (Beaumont) Davis; son, Jerry Lee Davis; and granddaughter, Nikki Smith-Wiles.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Arthur and his family.
