A funeral service, celebrating the life of Arthur Eugene Allen, 80 of Conway S.C., formerly of Blacklick, will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of The HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service, with Rev. Deacon Richard Busic as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery.Gene died peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2013, as his home in South Carolina. He was born in Outville, on December 29, 1932, the son of the late Joseph Ray and Irene Bell (Isehenour) Allen. He was a graduate of Kirkersville H.S., class of 1950, served honorably in the US Air Force during the Korean conflict and retired after 35 years with A.T.&.T. Columbus. He was a catholic by faith.He is survived by his loving family, wife Pauline (Debney) of South Carolina, sons Joseph (Sonia) of Columbus, John (Susan) of Pataskala, Paul and Mark (Jone Clements) of South Carolina; grandchildren Brandon, Shawn, Amy, Blake, Joseph, David, Brittany, Andrew & Alizabeth; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers Charles (Dorothy) Allen, Danny (Terre) Allen, sisters Anna Mae Williams, Patty Ann (Larry) Williams; brother-in-law Alfred (Andrea) Debney, sisters-in-law Joan Debney, Mary Edith Arnold, Wanda Allen.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren Michael and Arielle and his brother James Allen.The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. prior to funeral services, at the funeral home 285 E Main St in Kirkersville.HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service, Kirkersville, is honored to care for the Allen family.
