A funeral service to celebrate the life of Arthur N. Giles, 90, of St. Louisville, will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Celebrant Mark Dettmer officiating. Burial will follow at the Giles Family Cemetery where military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.Arthur was born in Richwood, WV on April 26, 1925 to the late Arthur Wade and Naomi Nanette (Rigby) Giles. He passed away at his residence on May 25, 2015.Prior to retirement, he was a machinist with Rockwell International for over 30 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of Dawes Arboretum and was a former member of the NRA. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, gunsmithing and spending time with family.Survivors include his three children, Patricia (Bill) Hatfield, Rodney Giles Sr. and Debra (David) McFarland; eight grandchildren, Wyndy (Chris), Mark (Jane), JaMey (Zero), Wade, Sara (Josh), Jackey, Rodney Jr. and Denny (Alicia); seven great grandchildren, Wil, Steven, Mia, Cooper, Nathan, Zack and Colton; brothers and sisters, Zane Giles, George (Sharon) Giles, Patsy (Sam) Calondo, Kay (Mix) Paulmier and Yvonne Snooky (Harry) Gaydos; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Glenna (Bailes) Giles in 2012; great grandson, Jacob; and brothers and sisters, Faye, Billie, Rodney, Gary and Kent.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Arthur to Dawes Arboretum, 7770 Jacksontown Road, Newark, Ohio 53056.Friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for the Giles family.
