Arthur Braxton Tillman

Arthur Braxton Tillman, 86, formerly of Monticello, Georgia, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 5, 2020. He was born January 26, 1934, the son of the late Robert Lawson and Vaudice (Waits) Tillman.

He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School, class of 1950 and served honorably in the United States Air Force.

He was involved in the welding supply business for many years, and was a hard worker, wonderful provider for his family; and generous with his time and treasure to help the needs of others.

He was a member of the Brushy Knob Baptist Church, 65 year member of Rex Masonic Lodge #251 of Rex, Georgia.

Survived by his daughter Karen T. (Merle) Sherman, granddaughter Eva Lynn Cabrera.

Preceded in death by his wife Thelma (Hatfield) whom he married on September 17, 1955.

Visitation at the Jordan Funeral Home in Monticello on Friday, June 12, 2020 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and graveside services to follow in the Fairview Memorial Gardens Stockbridge, Georgia Friday afternoon.
