Barbara Ann Hartsough

A graveside funeral service for Barbara Ann Hartsough, age 81, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, at the Newark Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Anthony Payton officiating.Barbara was born on July 27, 1933 in Newark, Ohio to the late Floyd and Hazel (Davis) Rector. She passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Kindred Healthcare of Newark.Barbara enjoyed gardening, walking and spending time with her family, whom she treasured.She is survived by a daughter, Pennie L. (Timothy) Miller of Newark; sons, Steven W. (Paula) Hartsough of Strongsville and Shawn W. (Jamie) Hartsough of Newark; grandchildren, Kristin Hartsough, Scott Hartsough, Jaime Lawson, Matt Miller, Lauren Hartsough, Samantha Hartsough and Leila Hartsough; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Rachel (Joby) Lanning and Bette Scoles; brother-in-law, Jerry Hartsough; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James F. Hartsough, whom she married June 4, 1952 and who preceded her in death on July 8, 2014; a son, Philip L. Hartsough; and by four brothers and one sister.Memorial contributions may be made to Generation Hospice, 26 N.
