A funeral service, celebrating the life of Barbara Kay Bobbie Stimmel Keckley, 76, of Hebron, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 27, 2013, in The Millersport United Methodist Church with Pastor Jerry Wiles as celebrant. Burial will follow at Kirkersville Cemetery. Bobbie died peacefully, Monday afternoon, December 23, 2013, in Columbus following a brief illness. She was born April 11, 1937, in New Reading, the daughter of the late Frank and Ruby (Rutter) Stimmel. She worked as a cosmetologist at Lake Beauty Salon and taught cosmetology at the Paul C Hayes Tech School in Columbus for many years. While at Hayes, she was an active VICA advisor and had earned the Key to Nebraska for her many contributions to that organization. She also volunteered with the TWIG at Licking Memorial and also volunteered with Hospice of Central Ohio for many years. She was a member of Eagon Chapter #123, Order of Eastern Star, Hebron. She is survived by her loving family: husband, Harold Mike Keckley , children Brad, Kris (Lori Bowling) Keckley, Shonda (Tim) Cline, grandchildren: Danielle, Tyler, Tanner, Kaylynn, Ryan, Trevor, Emily and Olivia; sisters: Fran Baughman, Wanda Shaeffer, Pat Rutherford; numerous nieces and nephews; also Betsy Watkins, her beloved home care nurse, and the caring staff on the Second Floor at Mt. Carmel East for their exceptional loving support during these last two weeks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Bernard, Jesse, Raymond and Jim Stimmel and her sisters Midge, Billie and Betty.
