Barbara Ann Holbrook

Barb Holbrook, 74, of Hebron, Ohio, passed away September 13, 2023.  She was in the care of Hospice of Central Ohio following a year and a half of treatment for MDS at The James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  She was born in Thornville, Ohio, on July 29, 1949, to Meredith and Helen Mohler.

She is survived by brothers Phil, Steve (Mary), Chet (Pat) Mohler, sister Linda (Ron) Dittoe and sister-in-law Kay Mohler.  She is also survived by daughter Alyssa Holbrook (Stuart Smith), son Jay (Rose) Holbrook and 5 grandchildren: Kenny, Nikki, and Robert Calvert and Jonathan and Joshua Holbrook and one great grandson, Robbie Calvert.  Barb was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ron.

Barb graduated from Sheridan High School in 1967 and was a State Farm Insurance adjuster for 44 years and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Thornville for over 50 years.

A memorial service will be held at the Hoskinson Funeral Home at 285 E. Main Street in Kirkersville, Ohio, on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Paul Weaver officiating.  Friends and family are invited to visit after the service.  Envelopes will be available for memorial contributions to be made to The James Cancer Hospital in lieu of flowers.
