Barbara Joann Adkins

A memorial service, celebrating the life of Barbara Joann Adkins, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2017, in the New Life Apostolic Church, Glenford. Barbara died peacefully on Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Zanesville, following a lengthy illness.She was born May 2, 1932 in Wilkesville, the daughter of the late Clifford and Ruby (Oiler) Thomas. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother; she loved crocheting, cooking and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was an active member of the New Life Apostolic Church in Glenford, and had taught Sunday School for over 40 years.She is survived by her loving family: husband Roy Adkins, whom she married in Columbus, Ohio on May 16, 1970; her children: Don (JoAnn) Mason, Annie (Dave) Brown; Karen Garza and George Mason; her 10 grandchildren, 17 great and 2 great great grandchildren, along with her sister Lois (Robert) Parmer.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-laws Ron Burgess and Rev.
