A funeral service celebrating the life of Barbara June Blain, age 81, of Thornville, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, at the Kirkersville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Tom Hite officiating. Friends may call from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville. Barbara was born July 14, 1936 in Springfield, Ohio to the late George and Mariam (Jenks) Paugh. She passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Barbara was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Pataskala and enjoyed reading, collecting angels, tending her flowers and feeding the birds and squirrels. She is survived by seven children, Bobbie (Danita) Blain of Mount Vernon, Bruce (Sue) Blain of Thornville, Beverley (Larry) Six of Columbus, Becki Duffey of Columbus, Barbara (Robert) Bowman of Supply, North Carolina, Bradley (Donita) Blain of Thornville and Beth (Johnny) Waldrop of Buckeye Lake; 27 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother, George Paugh of St. Louis, Missouri; sisters, Gloria Leffler of Scottsdale, Arizona and Norma Jean (Lowell) Hite of Lancaster; brothers-in-law, Daniel Morris of Denton, Texas, William Leffler of Johnstown and John Thompson of Pataskala; sisters-in-law, Betty Blain of Washington Courthouse and Ruth Blain; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Frederick Blain, who passed away on May 8, 2012; by a brother, William Paugh; and a sister, Nancy Morris.
