A funeral service, celebrating the life of Barbara Ann Sainsbury, 68, of Thornville, will be held Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of The HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service, Kirkersville. Burial will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery.Barbara died Tuesday afternoon, January 8, 2013, in Lancaster, following an extended illness. She was born September 11, 1944 in Millersport, the daughter of the late Curtis and Opal (Mustard) Thompson. Barbara worked along with her husband in their Trucking business for many years. She was a member of the Millersport Post #637 of The American Legion Auxillary. She loved to mushroom hunt and fish. As a child, she attended the Millersport United Methodist Church.She is survived by her loving family: her husband Gary, whom she married in August of 1967, her son Tod Sainsbury of Millersport, grandson Dr. Nathan Sainsbury (Stephanie Andrews), brother Carl (Robin) Thompson and family of Millersport, step-brothers Billy Joe Wilson of Chillicothe, Charles(Claudia) Wilson and family of Sabina, special niece Tammy (Michael) Lohr and family of Pataskala, aunts Hazel and Rosie, and out-law Sandra Thompson.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Dallas Eugene Thompson.The family will receive friends on Sunday from Noon until the time of the services at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 E Main St. in Kirkersville; where an on-line guest register and video tribute are available at www.hoskinsonfuneral.com.Memorials in her memory may be directed to FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Rd, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service, Kirkersville, is honored to care for the Sainsbury family.
