A graveside funeral service, celebrating the life of Beatrice K. “Bea” Mealick, 85, of St. Louisville, will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Newark Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Bill Lavely and Pastor Kelly Rammell officiating. Bea was born in Crooksville, Ohio on September 15, 1933 to the late Marion William and Rhea Veneta (Wogan) McCune. She passed away at her residence on December 8, 2018, while surrounded by her loving family. A 1951 graduate of Deavertown (York) High School in Morgan County, Bea worked in retail sales and retired as a dispatcher from Catholic Social Services in 1996 and also volunteered as a driver until 2001. She was a member of St. Louisville Christian Church, where she served as the church organist/pianist for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Utica Friendly Senior Citizens. Her interests were puzzles, reading, going to the casino and she also enjoyed playing the organ/piano for over 73 years. Survivors include her children, Charles A. (Teresa) Mealick of Corning, Donald W. (Vickie) Mealick of Newark, Karen R. (Tim) Richards of Utica and William R. (Deb) Mealick of Bladensburg; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; brothers, Harry (Donna) McCune of Gun Barrel City, Texas and Harold (Janet) McCune of Dublin; brother-in-law, Tom (Sarah) Mealick of Zanesvlle; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Mealick, whom she married May 22, 1954.
