Bentley J. "Benny" Malcolm

March 13, 1961 — September 28, 2021

Bentley J. “Benny” Malcolm, age 60, of Newark, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Licking Memorial Hospital. Benny was born March 13, 1961 in Kaiser, West Virginia to the late Sterling and Emma (Loufield) Malcolm.

Benny was a stone mason for many years. He loved being outdoors and had a number of hobbies including Ginseng hunting, fishing, camping and hunting. He was an avid OSU fan and also enjoyed drawing, shooting pool, and watching Western movies.

Benny is survived by two daughters, Amber Wagstaff Archer (Morgan) of Buckeye Lake and Valley Malcolm of Washington Court House; grandchildren, Cy M. Bond, Katie C. Wagstaff, Aden R. Wagstaff and Kimmy Kimberlin; brother, Sterling “Buddy” Malcolm of Newark; nephew, Joseph Malcolm, and many other nieces and nephews; and family friend, Sabrina Fry Bonner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bentley Greg Malcolm; grandson, Brandon Weaver; and siblings, Edgar “Chuckie” Malcolm, Frankie Malcolm, Tina Cooper and William “Billy” Malcolm.

A gathering to celebrate Benny’s life will be held privately by the family.
