Bessie Lucille "Lucy" Bebout

Bessie Lucille Lucy Bebout, age 84, of Newark, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Heath Nursing Care Center. Lucy was born April 7, 1933 in Rocky Fork, Ohio to the late Harry and Nellie (Keaser) Cunningham. With five children, Lucy was a busy homemaker and enjoyed cooking (she was known for her delicious Apple Dumplings), canning from her garden, mushroom hunting, being outdoors and hunting. She also loved to sing and dance. She is survived by her children, Nora Bebout, Joyce (Charles) Vest, Lewis Roger (Sue) Bebout and Cheryl (Jim) Moore, all of Newark, and Todd (Kim) Bebout of Heath; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Stewart of Newark and Wanda (Gary) Dilts of Florida; niece, Linda Bahnsen of Newark as well as several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Herbert Bebout, on July 5, 2002; and by a sister, Betty Flowers; and two brothers, Bill and Roland Cunningham. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. The family extends a special thanks to Heath Nursing Home and Hospice of Central Ohio for their excellent care.
