A funeral service, celebrating the life of Betty (Bennett) Crane, 88, of Thornville, will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017, at 8 p.m. in the chapel of the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Bryan Bushong as celebrant. Betty died October 23, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 6, 1929, in Davidson Sask, Canada, the daughter of the late Harold and Grace Sellers Bennett. She was an active member of the Thornport AmVets #51, where she served as an officer and the Moose Lodge # 2434. She was an avid OSU Buckeye fan. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and boating on Buckeye Lake. She retired after thirty years of service at Lucent Technologies, Columbus. She is survived by her children Brent (Linnie) Prom, Thornville; Daryl Prom, Thornville and Brad (T.) Prom, Roseville, and sisters Pauline (Ken) Johnson, Roberta (Henry) Shore, of Edmonton, Alberta, CA.; 5 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Leo The love of her life Prom, Ralph E. Crane, 1999, her daughter Sandy in 1978, and son Doug.The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 until 8 P.M. at Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 South Main Street in Thornville. The family prefers that memorials be directed to Amvets Post #51 Auxillary.
