Betty Jane Zornes

A funeral service celebrating the life of Betty Jane Zornes, age 89, of Hebron, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will take place in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Lancaster. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville. Betty was born May 24, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Fred Reiger and Erma (Henry) Visocnik. She passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at her home. Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting and was a wonderful cook. She also enjoyed league bowling, coin and stamp collecting and genealogy. Her legacy is that she was a very dedicated mother and grandmother. She is survived by three children, Sharon (Harry) Ours of Hilliard, Linda (Larry) OHara of Hamersville and Erma (Richard) Ciriachi of Hebron; eleven grandchildren, Angie, Ivan, Erin, Nick, Larry, Rob, Tim, James, Casey, Trina and Marten; 26 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Clifford Zornes, on May 4, 1998; and by her siblings, Bobby Reiger, Janet Perdue and Patty Burke.
