Betty L. Blizzard

A funeral service celebrating the life of Betty L. Blizzard, 89, of Newark, will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Zack Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Betty was born in Newark, Ohio on August 16, 1928 to the late Nire and Florence (Carpenter) Stephens. She passed away on July 16, 2018 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. Betty was a dedicated homemaker to her family. She enjoyed playing Euchre, cooking, baking and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. Survivors include her children, Roger Slone, Ronald Joe Slone, Dixie Moore and Kenneth Bo Slone; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Donald and Lonald Slone; and siblings, Thelma Myers, Arlene Riley, Audrey Laughman, Mazie Laughman, John Stephens, and Richard Dick Stephens.
