Betty Lucille Green

A celebration of life memorial service for Betty Lucille Green, age 78, of Hebron, will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Hebron New Life United Methodist Church, 925 West Main Street, Hebron, with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the memorial service from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.Betty was born in Newark, Ohio on January 14, 1936 to the late Stanton Deeds and Lucille (Dillon) Smoke. She passed away on October 8, 2014 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio.Prior to retirement, she worked for Park National Bank for 53 years. She was a member of the Hebron New Life United Methodist Church. Betty was passionate about music, she especially enjoyed playing the piano. She was a former member of the Vintage Voices of Granville. She loved spending time with her family, especially attending her grandsons events. Betty loved everyone she met and will be missed greatly by all that knew her.Survivors include her loving husband of nearly 58 years, Andrew Andy T. Green, whom she married October 20, 1956; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Lori Green of Hebron; grandsons, Zachary Green and Joshua Green; brother-in-law, James A. (June) Green; sister-in-law, Barbara Widmayer; nephews, Michael Green and Mitchell Sellers; nieces, Kathy Brenner, Connie (Robert) Dornan, Cindy (Jeff) Parsley and Mindy Sellers; and her familys special dog, Mocha.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Norma June Sellers; and aunt, Mabel Matthews.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Betty to Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058-0430 or Hebron New Life United Methodist Church.At Bettys request, no public calling hours will be observed.
