Betty Mae Barron

Betty Mae Barron, age 89, of Newark, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Arlington Care Center. Betty was born February 13, 1926 in Newark, Ohio to the late George Earl Shriner and Mary Agnes (Stewart) Shriner Dunn.Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed reading and cooking. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.She is survived by seven children, Penny E. Gutridge, Michael Gutridge and Linda Mabry, all of Newark; Kristie Jaconette of Columbus, Vickie (Owen) Lewis of Heath, Joyce Durbin of West Palm, Florida and Lori (Rob) Stuart of Savannah, Georgia; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Alberta Bowen of Wilkins Corners; brothers, Harley Holcum and Jimmy Dunn, both of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Barron; four children, Terri Lee Bean, Maridy Sue Gutridge, Rex Arthur Gutridge and Bruce Charles Gutridge; and three sisters, Ruth White, Irene Reagan and Helen Reagan.The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Betty and her family.
