A funeral service to celebrate the life of Betty Mae Snyder, age 82 of Newark, will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. A private burial will be held at Green Hill Cemetery.Betty was born in West Virginia on April 11, 1932 to the late Earl and Marjorie (Zickafoose) Snyder. She passed away on January 4, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.Betty was a member of the Toboso Nazarene Church and was also a member of the Ancient Order of Druids in Newark. She enjoyed traveling and playing bingo. Betty was a loving selfless person, was always willing to help others in need, never knew a stranger and loved everyone she met.Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Mort of Newark; grandchildren, Scott Mohler, Mike Bush, Bruce Mort, Lisa Gulick, Bruce Bush and Christopher Mort; 13 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Jim Mohler; daughter, Shirley Nixon; great grandson, Larry; twin sister, Bonnie; and brother, Bob Snyder.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Betty to Foundation For Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O.
