Betty Joann Moore

A graveside service for Betty Joann Moore, age 84, of Newark, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 14, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Clifford Mason officiating. Due to Covid-19 concerns, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Betty was born December 8, 1935 in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Lester E. and Ethel (Hickman) Early. She passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at the home of her daughter.

Betty was a nurse’s aide at Licking Memorial Hospital and a secretary at Heath Nursing Home for many years. She enjoyed playing card and dice games, camping, and fishing. Betty was a wonderful mother and grandmother and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two daughters, Sheryl L. (Douglas) Cramer of Heath and Michelle R. (Stevan) Hook of Stockport; sons, Robert E. (Lisa) Moore of Temple, Texas and Terry W. Moore (Linda Rockey) of Newark; 12 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Rowe and Nancy McNutt, both of Newark; sister-in-law, Sue Moore; and three nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry G. Moore, on December 14, 2013; and by a son, Richard L. Moore.
