Betty Lynn Simcox

Funeral Services, celebrating the life of Betty Lynn Simcox, 69 of Thornville, will be held on Thursday, April 28 at 11 :00 am in the chapel of the Thornville Home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will follow in the Lutheran Reformed Cemetery.

Betty passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 in Zanesville, following an extended illness. She was born October 4, 1952 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Betty (Bair) Davis. She was a graduate of Whetstone H.S., class of 1970, worked for many years at National City Bank and retired from American Electric Power.

Betty loved boating on Buckeye Lake, bowling, spoiling her grandchildren, attending their sporting events and being with her family.

She is survived by her loving family: her husband, Michael whom she married on March 5, 1983; her daughter Darcy (Chris) Walker; sons George and Lloyd (Chelsea) Simcox; her grandchildren Austin (Alexis) Walker; Madilynn Walker; Erin and Colby Simcox; her great granddaughter Lynleigh; her brother Mike/Andy (Lori) Davis; her sister Kay (Todd) Harrison.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Ann McCann, Debbie Cubbage, her brother Lloyd Davis and a baby brother Ernie.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening April 27, from 4-7 pm at the Funeral Home, 56 South Main St in Thornville.

The family prefers that memorial contributions in her honor be directed to Genesis Oncology Department, 2951 Maple Ave., Zanesville, Ohio 43701 .
