Betty Sue Vangundy

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Betty Sue Antle VanGundy, 67, of Thornville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, in the chapel of the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Jim Addy officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, near Jacksontown.

Betty passed early Monday morning, September 17, 2018, in Columbus, following an extended illness. She was born November 13, 1950, the daughter of the late Josephine (Moody) and Joseph Antle.

She was a graduate of Sheridan H.S., class of 1969, attended Bob Jones University for 1 year where she studied Voice, and was a graduate of Licking CO JVS Cosmetology Program and COTC nursing program. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years in various Hospitals around the area.

She had a beautiful voice, enjoyed singing and was also an active member of the former Calvary Christian Union Church at Edgewater Beach, where she taught the adult Sunday school class.

Betty is survived by her brothers Mike (Debbie) Antle of Heath, Bill (Marie) Antle of Crestwood, Kentucky, sister-in-law Melanie Antle (Mrs. Richard) of Thornville, her dear friends Pam and Lisa, along with her six nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers Robert and Richard Antle.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, Sept 18, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
