Betty Jane Wright

Betty Jane Wright, age 67, of Newark, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Licking Memorial Hospital. Betty was born September 28, 1954 in Fort Knox, Kentucky to the late Ernest and Mary Jane (Orr) Jones.

Betty worked for several years at Walmart, CVS, and Family Dollar. She was an excellent cook and everything she made was delicious. She enjoyed spending time with her family and raised her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 28 years, Charles E. Wright, whom she married September 21, 1994; three children, Angie Frost (Chris Alestock) of Newark, Brian (Mandy) Frost of Newark, and Holly Frost of Frazeysburg; granddaughters whom she raised, Hannah Wright, Madison Frost, and Alexis Frost; and many other grandchildren; sisters, Patricia (Larry) Parker of Louisiana, Rebecca (Wayne) Gall of Newark, Sharon (Jim) Wilson of Newark, Jeannie (Dave) Newsom of Frazeysburg, Debbie (Scott) Dzierwa of Newark, and Linda Rockey of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Darrell Young.

The family will observe a private gathering.
