Beverly "Bev" Farabee

Beverly A. Farabee, 76, of Etna, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was born on May 20, 1937 in Zanesville, daughter of the late Elmer Ted and Eloise (Twiggs) Farabee. Bev worked for AT&T for 30 years retiring in 1993. She enjoyed camping at Campers Grove and liked playing hide and seek in the woods on her golf cart. Bev also very much enjoyed playing fast pitch softball for 27 years. Becoming quite skilled at the sport, she was inducted into the Womens National Softball Hall of Fame in 1989.She is survived by her loving family: Partner, Phyllis Felix; two nieces, Joanna (Donald) Carter and Larissa (Jeremy Geisler) Owen; three nephews Chuck, John, and Greg (Robin) Farabee; 14 great nieces and nephews; as well as many other great-great nieces, nephews, and friends.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Evander Sonny and Ted D. Farabee, as well as two nephews Paul Cliff and Chris Farabee.A funeral service, celebrating Bevs life, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013 in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 E. Main St. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Zanesville.Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday one hour prior to services from 10 to 11 a.m.Memorial contributions may be made to: Licking County Humane Society, 825 Thornwood Dr., Heath, OH 43056.Online condolences may be sent to www.hoskinsonfuneral.comHOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, Kirkersville, is honored to care for the Farabee Family.
