Billy D. Bowers

A graveside service celebrating the life of Billy D. Bowers, age 98, of Hebron, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 25, at Fairmount Cemetery, Jacksontown, with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville.

Billy was born June 17, 1926, in Gratiot, Ohio, the son of the late Ernest F. and Anna Marie (Snider) Bowers. He passed away peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2024 following an extended illness.

Billy worked for many years at Kaiser Aluminum in Heath in the wire drawing department.

He is survived by his loving family including his wife, Ruby (Shell) Bowers, whom he married on November 3, 1951; his son, Jimmy Bowers; his daughter, Beth Vipperman; his grandson, Ross (Rachel) Vipperman, and his granddaughter, Amanda (Jarod) Rock; his great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Carsen Parker, Eivin Rock, and Emily Vipperman; and many nieces and nephews.

The family prefers that memorial contributions be directed to Hebron New Life United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 459, Hebron, Ohio 43025.
