Brad Keckley

March 21, 1961 — November 16, 2017

Captain Bradley Jay Keckley of Ft. Myers, Florida, flew west unexpectedly November 16, 2017, of natural causes. He was born March 21, 1961, in Newark, Ohio to Harold "Mike" Keckley and the late Barbara "Bobbie" Stimmel Keckley. Brad graduated from Lakewood High School - Hebron, Ohio, class of 1979 and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He was always up for an adventure, fun-loving, lit up any room that he entered, made friends wherever he went and was an avid Ohio State University fan. Brad fulfilled his childhood dream of becoming a commercial airline pilot. His professional career included working for Eastern Airlines, US Airways and becoming a Captain with American Airlines. His greatest accomplishment was being a dad to his four children that he adored. He will dearly be missed by his dad, Harold " Mike" Keckley of Hebron; his children, Ryan, Trevor, Emily and Olivia of Ft. Myers; brother, Kris (Lori); sister, Shonda (Tim) Cline; nieces and nephews, Danielle Keckley, Tyler (Amy) Keckley, Kaylynn Cline, Tanner Cline; great niece and nephew, Makenon and Hadley Keckley; girlfriend, Trish Archer; and an enormous group of wonderful friends. Friends may call Friday, December 1, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service. Funeral services celebrating his amazing life will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in the Millersport United Methodist Church. His lifelong friend, Clifford Mason will be Celebrant. Brad will be laid to rest next to his beloved mother Bobbie in the Kirkersville Cemetery. Contributions in Brads memory may be made to the American Heart Association, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
