A celebration of life gathering for Brian Olds Boling, age 75, of Heath, will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Wooster’s Elks Lodge, 335 N. Market Street, Wooster from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with sharing of memories beginning at 4:00 p.m. A graveside inurnment will be held at Eastside Cemetery in Fredricksburg at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Charlie Tobias officiating. Military honors will be observed by the Wooster Amvets Military Honor Guard. Brian was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 15, 1942 to the late Glen Robert and Dora Althea (Olds) Boling. He passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital on July 29, 2018. Brian proudly served his country in the United States Army. He graduated from The Ohio State University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Management. Prior to retirement, he was a human resource director for many years. He was a lifetime member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association and the Thornville AmVets, enjoyed Ohio State Buckeye sports and loved spending time with his daughter, grandson and friends. Survivors include his daughter, Jobi Kim (George) Boling Dishon; grandson, Hunter Joseph Dishon; sister, Marge Starkey; life-long friends, Jo and Bob Walter; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda “Lin” (Knowlton) Boling in 2015.
