A funeral service celebrating the life of Brian F. Maiher, 59 of Carroll, will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thornville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will follow at Lutheran Reformed Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 56 S. Main Street, Thornville, on Friday, one hour prior to the funeral service, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Brian was born in Westlake, Ohio on December 18, 1959 to the late Frank and Teresa (Komora) Maiher. He passed away on January 5, 2019 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus. Brian and his wife own and operate Maiher Demolition and Salvage Inc. He was very enthusiastic and passionate about his business. He was an avid antique collector and especially enjoyed collecting railroadiana, petroleum gasoline pumps, neon signs and fire alarm memorabilia. Brian had an uplifting personality, loved everyone he met and never knew a stranger. He will be missed greatly by all that knew him. Survivors include his loving wife, Jill E. (Drewes) Maiher; children, Michelle Maiher, Pamella Maiher and Kristina (Jamie) Deacon; 4 grandchildren; sister, Nancy Peplin; brother-in-law, Neil Drewes; sister-in-law, Jody Fernandez; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
