Bruce Anthony Davis

A memorial service celebrating the life of Bruce Anthony Davis, age 70, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, at Crossroads Baptist Church, 75 North 6 ^th Street in Newark with Pastor Tim Sowards officiating.

Bruce was born June 6, 1948 in Elyria, Ohio to the late Leo and Ernestine (Griffin) Davis. He passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Arlington Care Center.

Bruce had been employed with Harry and David. He was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty (Hawkins) Davis; step-daughters, Kandice Hairston and Juanita Daniels; step-son, Michael Hairston; grandchildren, Isis, Pharahn, Jordan, Jeremiah and Sade; great-grandchild, Jamirus; brother, Roland Davis; sisters, Marilyn Wilson and Darlene Murphy; and nieces and nephews.
