A memorial service to celebrate the life of Bruce E. Diltz, 67, of Thornville Ohio, will be held at Criss-Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home in Newark, on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 2pm, with Pastor Wes Humble officiating. Family and friends may call from 1pm until the 2pm, service time on Saturday. The Licking County Veterans Alliance will present Military Funeral Honors at the Memorial Service. Bruce was born in Circleville, Ohio on February 17, 1954, to the late Ralph and Geraldine Diltz. Bruce passed away on February 26, 2021. He enjoyed writing, recording and playing music. He would often attend live gigs at the Copper Penny, the Port House and other music establishments with his friends and bandmates. He would also enjoy fixing and working on computers in his spare time. He was a devoted father, grandfather and loved spending time with his family during holidays, birthdays and family gatherings. Bruce was proceeded in death by his wife, Victoria Diltz, whom he married on May 12, 1986; children, Amity Swanson, Alisha Breonne, Lindsey (JoeRell) Medina, Jason Bousquet, Teri (James) Cooperrider, Mirisa (Jesse) Reed, Chris Diltz; grandchildren, Alexander Williams, Ethan Mason, David Spang, Shyla Applegate, Kaydence and Regan Medina, Nathan, Gavin and Kyndall Cooperrider, Elise and Kayden Reed; sister-in law, Lela (Jerry) Alber.
