Bryan Thomas Cleghon

A funeral service celebrating the life of Bryan Thomas “Tom” Cleghon, age 83, of Thornville, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, at the Thornville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Evan Saunders officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 56 South Main Street in Thornville. Burial will take place in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Lancaster.

Tom was born February 16, 1940 in Hardy, Kentucky to the late Thomas Bryan and Elizabeth (Hammond) Cleghon. He passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Altercare of Thornville.

Tom was a truck driver for many years for various companies. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, canning, and watching TV.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Alice Ann (Megahey) Cleghon, whom he married November 11, 1961; son, Michael Bryan Cleghon; grandchildren, Alicia Thompson, Leah Cleghon, Lauren Balo, and Seryna Cleghon; great-grandchildren, Lily, Aleyna, and Ohna; niece, Derinda Gail Hagy; and daughter-in-law, Amber Burns.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Cleghon and Robert Cleghon; and two sisters, Marie Ray and Jean Bevins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
