Cait Leigh Stewart

A visitation, honoring the lives of Cait Leigh Stewart, and her son, Saige Rayden Stewart, will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 179 Granville Street, Newark. Cait was born in Newark, Ohio on July 30, 1993 to Amie Marie (Johnson) Stewart and Gary Allen Stewart. She passed away unexpectedly, while pregnant with her son, Saige, at her residence in Columbus on September 13, 2021. Cait was a cosmetologist for many years, and she loved spending time with her family and friends. If you knew Cait, you know there’s a good chance she took a selfie with you at some point. Cait, crazy Cait, and Caity-did, however you knew her, was always laughing and had an infectious smile that could light up a room. She was either singing, dancing, being a slushie addict, eating cheese, getting a tattoo or a new stuffed unicorn, but was always eccentric, authentic and a hard working soon to be mom. Survivors include her parents, Amie Marie (John Darst) Stewart and Gary Allen (Virginia Crawford) Stewart; maternal grandmother, Sherry Liming; maternal grandfather, Mike (Edi) Johnson; paternal grandfather, Clinton Stewart; brothers and sisters, Chelsie (Joshua Mathers) Stewart, Chase Stewart, Corey Norberg and Helena Cross; niece, Thea Stewart; nephew, Declan Stewart; close family friend, Penny Jean; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Dixie Wright; step-maternal grandfather, Lonnie Liming; and uncle, Micheal Johnson Jr. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Cait to her Go Fund Me account, to help with funeral expenses.
