Carl George Keener

A memorial service for Carl George Keener, age 64, of Newark, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Van Winkle officiating.

Carl was born August 28, 1954 in Newark, Ohio to the late George Washington and Audrey L. Keener. He passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Licking Memorial Hospital. Carl was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was employed at Port Columbus Airport in maintenance. He enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, being outdoors and camping and fishing and tinkering in his sheds.

He is survived by three children, Audrey Young (Timothy Mauller), Carl James Keener and Delphia (Charles) Kerns; step-daughter, Michelle Foor; grandchildren, Matthew L. Young, David M. Young, Jonathan T. Young, Dallas A. Young, Zoey M. Pyles, Mindy (Tommy) Fiamingo and Cameron Kerns; two great-grandchildren, Donovan and Trevor Fiamingo; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda D. Keener; and two granddaughters, LaDonna L. Keener and Zeraline Kay Hoffer.
