Carl Albert Varner

Carl Albert Varner, 69, of Thornville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, August 15, 2018, in Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born July 22, 1949, in Newark, the son of the late Carl A. and Ora Evelyn (McFarland) Varner. Carl was a graduate of Lakewood High School, class of 1967, served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam Era, and worked at the Newark Air Force Station for many years. His passion was restoring automobiles. He is survived by his wife Linda, whom he married on Nov 26, 1988, his daughter Susan Mills of Columbus, and grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Carlyn Lones and brother Charles Varner.
