Carlotta J. Chrysler, 74, of Thornville, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center in Newark. She was born on December 11, 1939 in Perry County, daughter of the late Clifford and Geraldine (Hite) DeLong. Carlotta was a member of the New Hope Assembly of God church in Lancaster and was a great country music fan, having known many Nashville artists personally. She also helped operate, alongside her parents, Finks Boat Landing on Buckeye Lake.She is survived by her loving family: sons, John (Denise) Chrysler and Bill Chrysler; three grandchildren: Richard (Amy) Leffman, Kevin (Sara) Leffman, and Virginia (Jerry) Hetrick; eight great-grandchildren: Zack, Austin, Michael, Dakota, Elizabeth, Levi, Gage Leffman, and Abbygail Hetrick; brother, Don (Roberta) DeLong; a niece, Dawn DeLong; two nephews, Nathan (Joyce) DeLong and Dwayne DeLong; her uncle, Roger (Diane) Hite; many great- nieces and nephews; as well as special friends, Guy Bee Evans and Naomi Yerian.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Chrysler in 1962.A funeral service, celebrating Carlottas life, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014 in the chapel of the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S. Main St., with Pastors Chuck Sharp and Lee Shoupe officiating.
