Carmen Louise Rowley, 66, of Millersport, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, in Columbus following an extended illness. She was born January 17, 1946 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Theodore Ted and Evelyn (Collins) Keller. She was a graduate of Bishop Hartley H.S., class of 1964.Carmen worked for Ohio Bell and for many years as the librarian at Kirkersville elementary school, from where she retired in 2003.A devout and life-long catholic, she was the first Baptism recorded at the Christ the King Parish in Columbus, and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at Buckeye Lake for over 40 years.She enjoyed traveling, horses and her beloved basset hounds, currently Barnie. She especially loved fishing trips to Rice Lake in Ontario.Carmen is survived by her loving family: husband, William Rowley, whom she married on November 19, 1966, daughters Melissa Waters, Michelle Rowley-Welsch and her husband Michael; four grandsons: Ben, Ted, Paul and Alex, all of Millersport; two sisters Shirley (Dennis) Rider of Baltimore and Charlene Boring of Rushville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Jack Keller and sister Sylvia Welch.Friends may call on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, from 2-4 & 6-8 at The Kirkersville home of The Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, 285 E Main St. in Kirkersville.
