Carol Lynn Axline

Carol Lynn Axline, 76, of Heath, died Sunday, January 29, 2023, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center. She was born October 20, 1946, in Fredonia to the late Harold Smith and Edith (Jackson) Morrison. Carol graduated from Utica High School. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading western romance novels. She enjoyed shopping, cheering for the Buckeyes, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Rodney) Lincicome; son, Dallas (Stephanie) Axline; grandchildren, Blake Rickard and Ashley Hutchison; seven great grandchildren, sisters, Marty (Steve) Warthman, Lois (Cort) Maple, Bobbie Jean Banach, and Peggy Martin; brother, Billy (Kay) Smith; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Frank Morrison; and two brothers, Stephen Morrison and Richard Smith. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 2-4pm at the Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville St., Newark, where a memorial service will follow at 4:00pm with Pastor Matt Thomas officiating.
