A memorial service, celebrating the life of Carol Marie Mattingly McNally DeVault, 76, of Buckeye Lake, will be held at Buckeye Lake Youth Association, Saturday, May 6, 2017, from 2:00 6:00 pm. Carol was born January 5, 1941, to Helen M. (Quigley) and Heber A. Mattingly in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Jimmy and William Mattingly, sister Sandra Lee Greer, first husband William H. McNally in 1997 and second husband James E. DeVault in 2008. She is survived by her son Andrew (Jamie) McNally of Hebron; step-sons James, David and Daniel DeVault; step-daughter Karen Christin; grandchildren Zachary and Nathan McNally and Corey Bowman; step-grandchildren Catlen, Danielle and Branden DeVault; brothers Robert D. (Ellen) Mattingly, Gary N. (Angie) Mattingly, Donald G. (Judy) Mattingly, Heber A. Sonny (Bobbie) Mattingly; along with special friends Barb Hart, Wanda Engel, Sam Davis and Jenny Quigley. Special Friends from Catholic Social Service, her physicians at Zangmeister, Dr V. George Zochowski and Dr Emily Rhodschimer. Carol graduated from Hebron H.S., class of 1959. She worked for Drew Shoe factory in Lancaster, Kings department store in Newark, and at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. She loved playing with and teaching her grandchildren new things. They are the light of her life. She remains proud of her son, who did so much for her. Carol loved NASCAR, gardening, decorating shows on HG TV.
