Carol's Life Tribute Vdeo A funeral service celebrating the life of Carol S. McArtor, 75, of Newark, will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Beth Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home 179 Granville Street, Newark, one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Carol was born in Hanover, Ohio on April 28, 1946 to the late Noble H. and Hattie P. (Gearhart) McArtor. She passed away at her residence on October 13, 2021. Prior to retirement, she worked as a cook at Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehab for over 15 years. She enjoyed listening to country music and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include her siblings, Dale (Linda) McArtor, Esther Hite and Irene Boyd; she will sorely missed by her best friend of over 35 years, Ann Hite, along with Ryan, Andrea, Paul, Rechelle, Emily, Reid, Annalora, Noah and Colton; and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Wayne McArtor, Dorothy Smith, Paul McArtor and Evelyn Kidd. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Carol to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
