Carol Lou Penix

Carol Lou (Hupp) Penix, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2023, at Licking Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Carol enjoyed spending time with family and friends and cherished the special times with her fiancé, Carl Belt. She enjoyed listening to country music and used to sing and yodel at Hillbilly Park in the 1950’s. Carol is survived by her children, Larry (Phyllis) Oliver of Newark, Janet (James) Miller of Hebron, Jackie (Bruce) Umstott of Coshocton, Jerry Jurden of Logan, Raylene Baughman of Newark, and Don (Kim) Jurden Jr., of Newark; her fiancé, Carl Belt of Thornville; and many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Penix; daughters, Joan Kidd and Joyce Wolfe; and son, Ed Oliver. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 1-3pm at the Hoskinson Funeral Home-Hebron, 108 N. 7th Street, Hebron. Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, Hebron, is honored to care for Carol and her family.
