Carol Ann Pickenpaugh, age 79, of Frazeysburg, was born February 3, 1943 in Roseville, Ohio to the late Richard and Grace (Inman) Wheeler. She passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Riverside Hospital.

Carol enjoyed doing paint by number, Sudoku and word find puzzles, watching NCIS and Law & Order, and was a big fan of John Wayne movies and Elvis. Carol was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing holiday meals for her family members who say that her potato salad, fudge, and meatloaf, are some of her most delicious dishes.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Pickenpaugh (Cheryl Patterson) and Jeff Pickenpaugh, all of Frazeysburg; grandchildren, Kaine Pickenpaugh, Natasha (Wesley) Sanford, Kennly (Daniel) Renicker, Jessica Pickenpaugh, Kelly Patterson, Michelle Blevins, and Howie Hinkle; great-grandchildren, Winston and Nova Sanford, Lariah Pickenpaugh, Kingsle Renicker, Dreamstar, Cherokee, Raven and Lovenaa Van Horn; brother, Bill (Rita) Wheeler of Malta; sister, Luella (Glenn) Lumen of Zanesville; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Gary and Penny Scottsberry of Newark and Kim and Ed Morgan of Frazeysburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Alba Pickenpaugh, on June 12, 2009; and by two daughters, Karen Pickenpaugh and Pansy Renicker; and by sisters, Mae Smith and Gerri Wheeler; and brothers, Wesley Wheeler and Elmer Wheeler.

The family will be observing a private gathering.
